New for 2008 – Grow your very own BERTIE the BEET

Would you like to grow a BERTIE the BEET in your school? If so, we would like to here from you.

Filling a pot with compostWe can send you some sugar beet seeds and following these instructions, you can follow the growth of your beet from sowing in March to harvesting in July

You can send in photos, pictures and reports on the growth of your beet as it grows and see them here on the BERTIE the BEET website. You can also compare your beet to our pot grown beet and to the real BERTIE growing in the field.
