BERTIE was harvested today! As is befitting for a superstar beet, BERTIE was individually harvested, topped and analysed. His neighbours that are left in the field will be harvested and topped by our beet harvester, before being processed in our tarehouse. |

Some of the brei was then placed into this tray, ready for freezing. The frozen brei will then be analysed to determine the sugar and nutrient content of BERTIE. |

BERTIE's rust problem has not got worse. Since we visited last week the disease has not developed significantly. |
