| It's been 5 days since we last visited BERTIE. The heart leaves have been damaged, and after close inspection (and some droppings found nearby!) hare nibbling was diagnosed. Poor old BERTIE! The 6 main leaves can clearly be seen, and several smaller leaves are just visible in the heart of the plant. The slightly "twisted" growth pattern is probably due to stress caused by a lack of water/rain. Some people have said that he is an ugly plant, but we all still love him anyway! |
